There is an easy method on the Dell computers. It takes less than 10 minutes and reinstalls the operating system and the drivers from an image on a hidden partition on the hard drive.

So I closed the virtual XP and later started it up again and the installer was still locked up.
I then tested a color PDF and voila, it worketh! If it is supposed to, I cannot figure out how, but I was able to use the USB menu to mount a drive and get a file over to the virtual XP window that way.
Next thing to do also is to calibrate my long rested color on the HP laserjet but THIS just saved me a boatload of time and frustration and probably money so I thank you again for your help! You would only be able to print using the XP drivers in XP Mode itself, so you would have to install your apps in XP Mode itself, then you could print from them.
So what I need to do is install whatever apps I am trying to do printing in color from into the XP mode as if If that's the case, what I could do if I really wanted to is to install my full Adobe Acrobat in there and then make PDFs that can be printed from there.
I guess the next question is Or is that just a matter of copy paste? XP Mode has folder sharing that can automatically share the host's drives, so it's really just a copy and paste, or just opening the PDF reader in XP mode and opening the PDF that's on the host via the shared folders.
