Sidekick 4g firmware updates

I got one cheap off ebay, i also have a mytouch 4g. I rooted and have a custom 2. Hopefully this one is better than the last update. Made my phone super slow and had to restart phone every few hours. And texts slowed down. Best feature was disabling the trackpad, other than that I actually considered rolling back. Oh well, lets wait for this one now. Mobo Task Killer Android Market works pretty well and kills the active bloatware on regular intervals to keep the phone running longer and faster.

I have been using it for a few weeks saw it advertised on the Dolphin browser and have been VERY happy. I can now play Plants vs. Zombies without the phone crashing mid-way!! Hopefully this will calm the storm of Sidekick returns and issues. While not the best phone in the Tmo line up like those before me have said the keyboard is pretty much the best available. It will be nice to see if this phone gets a bit of a second chance. Problem is this is the 2nd update Tmobile has pushed out… why they didnt fix it the first time idk.

Other than that, they Keyboard other than the previousluy mentioned issues is awesome and the Hinge is still 6 months later very secure and as stable as day one. Tmobile doesnt believe me when i told them after this upgrade the.

The equipment manufacturer is also responsible for providing assistance and service. I got an iPhone now. I hated to leave T-Mobile, but I just had to get something more stable. But, I still check in with my T-Mo news :D. U already can turn off the trackpad by going into acessibility.. I just got my update a few hours ago, and like everybody else the 1st update was horrible and made my phone unbearable.

No freezing or anything crappy yet.. The first update was fine fixing the graphic error in the text screen, this new 2nd update seems fine, but the same problem with it reacting to twitter, and the scrolling issue is still there.

The scrolling issue is when you try to scroll down to the bottom of your texts, it shoots back up to the top again, very annoying. Fix that t-mobile! And with twitter, sidekicks dont like twitter, it always stops working unexpectedly and buzzes you. I await these both fixed in the next 2. These are some of my top issues so. I want that update to come quick…the sidekick 4G is cool to…. IT Did. That is a substantial improvement over what it was.

Hopefully it will continue to function better now. My brother got this update and just like everyone else his phone is basically useless. The shit caused the shit to act like shit. Smh…something told me to wait for the Sensation. Definitely will be getting rid of the SK4G as soon as I get paid. Once I updated my sidekick my phone has been freezing alot nad wont load sometimes please update again. Is there any way I can unupdate it or sumthin?? I had no problems before the update.

The Update is fucking bullshit just makes my sidekick run slower have to constantly turn it off and on again wtf. Worthless update. This phone is worthless. Its just as worse as the tmobile G1.

What is this. I spent money to upgrade from the G1 thinking I can. Get rid of my troubles by upgradin to sidekick 4g. I used to like my sideick4g… now I hate it. What is this??? Even the sidekick lx, 3 etc are way bettr and faster…. This new update ruined my phone. And I liked the network data switch on the long press power button! My phone has slowed to an impossible speed, where The touch screen stops working and I have to restart the phone. Sometimes on silent mode it still plays the ringtone.

And worst of all the keyboard reaction is sooo slow! This phone was the greatest thing to me. So dissapointed! It has the hardware for It! I was so impressed with it after my Blackberry Curve. But then the update came. Now my phone lags, the screen freezes daily to the point of having to restart it. Recently it started to go back to the messages page or to the home screen when viewing a text.

Also the phone has been doing the same thing with the Dialer. These and numerous other bugs need to be fixed NOW. I cannot afford another phone and am going to be a college student with a need to communication. Is there any way to set a time for this to happen? Are you sure? Should be 2. I never got the update and my phone sticks! I was a big fan of sidekicks but now this phone really changed my mind. I have so many problems with it..

Shit first I had the g2x dope as fuck but froze so I gave in to my all time favorite sidekick but then it ran to slow so I went in got a new one and still runnes slow and lags on app and I want more to my sidekick like they did befor android help me..

This phone runs so slow please make it faster its so Fucking slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They either need a new update ASAP, or this phone is being recycled, and im buying a newer one. Second of all oh no your in high school you need to have a phone that keep up? Dude shut up and get a bigger memory card. Yeah it will freeze and glitch until you expand memory. Now for the spelling fixes in your shitty complaint. If you want tobe able to do that go become a teacher and make students feel stupid because apparently that makes you feel better.

All of this just to correct someone? Sorry sweetie but only a real dumb ass would write that much just to correct some one. Any spelling or grammar errors in this wise guy? I mean none of these updates, threads, patches, or ect. I try to update but it says no firmware I payed full price for this phone and it has been the worse investment ever. I hate its a piece of shit! When this update came out it completly messed up my phone and a few weeks of suffering and hoping it would fix i found out a way to make it go back to normal.

It pretty much erases the update and all your apps but its worth it. And you can even go back to how it was after the update. It was so annoying having to restart my phone every single day and this stopped it :D. Got a update 2 days ago and kI have to pull the battery out more than ever!

Come onT mobile WTF! Sidekick 4g. When i first got the phone, it worked amazingly, i thought the phone was perfect, then i updated it, and i cant even use it anymore. Completly froze the phone, screen wont turn on for at least 10 minutes, when it DOES come on hardly ever happens now it takes so long to send a text or call someone.

And now, the touch screen wont work. Wish i never did that update…. I hate this fking sidekick4g… totally pos! Tmoblie tech support are no better solving this ongoing problems with phone freezing up and battery pull out to reset it DAILY! I think they should fix it soon or give the people back there money…We should keep pressuring tmobile.

Okay I have spent about an hour or so reading these, I have had lag and reboot issues, force closes. No ghost touches or random calls, just lag and freezes, its functional just irritating.
