WW's new program is very easy to follow. I lost 20 pounds during the pandemic when most people gained weight and never felt hungry or deprived. I still enjoy things like ice cream, cake and wine. I just adjust the rest of my eating to accommodate those foods.
I have been maintaining this weight for quite a while now. I recommend this diet very highly, mainly because you can eat regular food and do not have to buy products from them. The meetings are very worthwhile and so is the required monthly weigh ins. Over the years I have enrolled in Weight Watchers and have always had favorable results when I follow the program. The program has changed a lot since the early days and I really like the ease of using the WW app on my phone making tracking food super easy.
It's always been a great program but now it's easier than ever to stay on track and get results while still indulging in some of your favorite foods. You just need to hold yourself accountable and the program does work! I was able to lose 20 pounds or so twice by counting calories with the LoseIt! I recently started the Weight Watchers WW program around 3 weeks ago to try a different approach.
I didn't think it would work as I've been struggling with this on and off for a while. I expected that I was going to be hungry and only allowed to eat salads, since this was a diet.
But to my surprise, I was already seeing results by the first week! There are so many amazing meals from WW that I never even thought of! I'm a pretty picky eater and I love pasta, pizza, pancakes sort of foods.
I can't believe I'm still able to eat them. I don't feel deprived or hungry on this diet. In fact, I haven't been needing as much sleep. I don't have to stress about burning a certain amount of calories, but I do try to run everyday and that just speeds up the weight loss progress.
I'm glad WW doesn't require exercise. Plus I have the most amazing coach ever. What I love about WW is that there are 3 different food plans and different subscriptions you can get. In the beginner I found it most helpful to have one-on-one coaching. There's also WW meetings in person and virtual. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that wants to lose weight, but in a fun way where they get to eat the foods they want.
I even eat dessert on this diet, and I didn't think I'd ever be able to do that! I joined WW many, many years ago and I thought it was a great program until recently. They always try to launch a new program to entice people to join.
Normally when they do this they make sure all their customers have access to the new program via all accessible vehicles customers use. Well, that did not happen with the new launching of their program recently. They updated their program for vehicles of cellphones and tablets and did not update the program for customers who only have access to desktop and laptop computers only.
Everyone does not have a cellphone or tablet and they don't care. I reached out to this company regarding this problem and they basically told me nothing will be done to ensure this level of customers will be updated so we can have access to the program we are paying for.
So, you are not able to access every aspect of the program we are entitled to as paying members. The new program is flawed as long as they take this type of attitude. This is also very unethical to charge for services that are not being rendered to all customers. I am so disappointed that WW does not care and should have updated this program for every vehicle their customers utilize to access the program. Angry and disappointed customer.
I have no problem with the app I use a blackberry and the online tools are great I love it. It is super easy and with Snack Girls recipes and WWs recipes I am always eating new and exciting foods!
It has helped me big time with my portions too. I recently went on vacation and I actually lost weight on vacation because I wasn't pigging out anymore! Katherine T. I am on my 9th week with the program and I have lot 12 pounds. Oh, the ww e-tools are fabulous! I love tracking and planning what I eat online.
I love the recipe builder, too. And because I am a charts person I love seeing the weight chart and keeping track of my measurements. That is worth the price of ww to me! I am eating much healthier and my husband is losing weight, too, around 15 pounds or so.
We are in our 40's. We are exercising more and experimenting with new foods. When he left for work this morning I told him to prepare himself for a new veggie tonight - roasted purple cauliflower. He made a face, but even though we joke about the veggies, I think that we really are enjoying food more than ever. Wayside Wanderer. I've been very happy with WW Points Plus. I can eat anything I want.
What's been successful for me is the tracking. I do it online, so it's an easy click. I've lost I joined WW online last November after seeing great results in my daughter and her husband. All online, no meetings. Good tracking tools. There's a community board for support, but I don't use it.
I've lost an average of 1. I compete with no one but myself, I've tried new recipes, I have more energy now. I'm getting tired of tracking, but there is also a Simply Filling program, where you eat only foods on WW's list, which I plan to try soon. I like myfitnesspal. It's free and is really easy to use. Thanks HauteMomNC for the sparkpeople. I'm going to check it out! Lara Massey. You get a daily calorie allotment, which you can increase by exercising.
I love it! At the beginning I attending a couple of meetings but none since, I really didn't find them helpful at all. I really like the tracker and figuring out what pts are for what foods and what I am gonna eat. But I agree about the support, I thought there would be more one on one but you kinda are on your own. Its working for me, better since I can ask my trainer who has just rejoined after having a baby. I've been on WW for 3 weeks now and have lost 7.
A few years back I lost 50 lbs on WW. The things I did not like were, I took the time to learn the old points program to have them change it and then they changed it again!
I liked to attend meetings and they changed the locations and times numerous times and then the meeting times I was able to go to were canceled all together. I get nothing out of the on-line process. There was even a program introduced that you could eat all you wanted of certain foods. You know why keep changing what works? I know they think they have to do something new all the time but really if it was successful then leave it alone.
I no longer go… have gained back weight and have not tried any other diet plan since. I have lost 40 lbs with WW from Jan — Dec , I have kept it off for over 8 months now, there are benefits for keeping it off as well, there is no cost once you get to goal you just have to stay within a weight range of goal which is major incentive to stay on track.
I do the treadmill for 45 min. Stay active at home and walk in stores and do my own housework. If you use all your optional points you will probably not lose or lose as fast. I made up my mind when I joined I was going to work the program so the program would work for me. I stay on points and I am very disciplined to make good choices.
I eat healthy and still have a snack or a goodie dessert now and then as long as I count them. I am now 7 lbs from goal. I joined Weight Watchers in January and reached my weight loss goal in October Weight Watchers is a great motivator to get yourself into the habit of eating real, healthy food.
I enjoy going to the meetings and helping to support others on their weight loss journey. Whatever weight loss plan you choose, it has to start with being accountable to yourself. As a side note, I probably would have reached my goal weight faster if I would have exercised, but I never did.
There are recipes and all. This month, Dec. I figured it was just an honest mistake so I called an asked them to fix it. This is when I got pissed.
I asked her why? I think I am running into the same problem. So I decided to cancel within 15 minutes of having signed up. Good luck!!!! I never took advantage of any of their features including recipes.
Really pissed off, too!!!! Buyer beware. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I look at WW as more a teaching tool than a quick fix to weight loss. Weight Watchers works, if you work the program. I did the WW diet year and years ago. BUT i gained it all back and then some. Do not believe any program, plan pills etc that tell you can eat anything you want and lose weight.
Yes, you will lose it but you will gain it just as quickly. The only way to do it is look for a healthy, not processed food plan. Very disappointed when I tried to cancel. Be careful. I feel like I may be getting ripped off….. I have been on WW for years. I have lost nearly 70 lbs, and I am very close to no longer being classified as obese. I lowered my BMI by a lot, and I know it works. I was supposed to receive ongoing phone calls from a personal coach, and no one ever called me, not even once.
Point system is baffling and impossible to understand. My daughter needs help losing weight. I thought I could help her by paying for her enrollment.
What a pain. I used me credit card and her email address but now neither of us can get to her account. What is so hard about designing a system that is user friendly? The old method is so user friendly. I joined at work and had meetings there. That was so easy. I have been a member of WW 24 hours.
In that time I could not do a first time login. Had to wait until I could talk to someone on the phone today. Person had no idea how to get me logged in, but of course had my charge card number.
It was difficult to hear her as her children were making an incredible amount of noise in the background. But she had no idea how to solve my problem! What has happened to Weight Watchers? No thankyou! I did weight watchers after my children were born and it worked really well. I have gone back to ww post menopausal and, despite, sticking to it totally I have not lost any weight since the first week.
All I can think is that doing more then a hour of strength training in the gym is required but it is very frustrating and I am thinking of changing to a different diet plan. There is also limited support during covid unless you pay for a coach. My wife and I tried this 35 years ago and lost weight but it was brutal and you had meetings to attend. This time around it was very, very well designed, provided helpful tools, and was a 21st century product.
We were able to drink wine every night with dinner, eat sufficiently to not be hungry all the time, and discover new recipes that were quite good. In two months I had exceeded my goal and my wife reached her initial goal but is staying on it to further advance her weight loss.
Well done Weight Watchers … from satisfied customers. I would not order anything from Weight Watchers online. This is a major city and next nearest location is a 2 hr drive one way. While this diet works as far as weight loss, it is not for everyone. I was on WW PP for 4 months, and lost 15 pounds.
