Obscure the aftermath psp save game

Boards Obscure: The Aftermath They've fixed the save system! Newave 12 years ago 1. The one problem that held ObsCure 2 back from being as good as the original ObsCure was the horribly flawed save system that didn't allow you more than one save per save point. This has been fixed in the PSP port so you can now, like in the first game, save like a normal game again, as many times as you wish!

This was the deal breaker for me if I was going to get this port or not. I have the PS2 version already, but I never play it because I know the save system is there to spoil my fun at all times.

With this problem now completely removed, I will actually get to play through the game to the end! Now, save points can be reused as many times as you like. That's awesome, I never finished Obscure 2 because of how frustrating that was.

Now I can play it and get all the things that I missed the first time! Annnnnd, amusingly enough, the game is still tough but not impossible thanks to a few of the save areas being closed off once you pass certain areas of the map. A day after I posted that preview, I ran into an area like this where there were TWO save points close to each other, but one is unusable and the other becomes inaccessible once you pass through a certain door.

It's during the car sequence - the save point by the gate the car crashes through is gone because of the save point a few yards back. Ah well - my full review should be up on Friday or Saturday.

Things pick up a bit once you memorize monster patterns and use the zap ' shoot or zap 'n beat technique. Sp8cemanSpiff 12 years ago 5. Totally unrelated to the save system, but I'm going to mention it anyway: this is a very good looking PSP game, isn't it?

The woods don't fare quite as well. Wongster 12 years ago 6. It's one of the better looking PSP games out there, even though it's a port. Once you're playing the game, in motion, the woods look fine better than still shots , save for some of the branches on the trees close to the camera that get a bit pixelated. Given the level of detail in everything else, it's forgivable. You really have to admire the work that went into the game, particularly the character models and lighting effects.

Well, I was initially a little ticked that the "one partner dying ends the game" thing is still here, but it's part of the game that made me play a lot more carefully. Also, given the puzzles in some spots, you'd merely be hopelessly stuck with one player who can't do something the dead guy or gal could do. However, with the unlimited save point deal, the game is a lot less frustrating because you learn to play a bit more carefully.
