Buy adobe cs6 license
I have found copies on sites such as eBay but not sure if they're pirate copies and whether Adobe will accept them or if I'll be penalised for using them in the event that they turn out to be illegal copies.
Please advise, your help is greatly appreciated. Most of Adobe stuff on ebay is pirated software. There is no possibility to get legally CS6 nowadays, except in very rare cases. You asked this question also on an old thread. I will lock that threat. There is nothing more to be added to the correct answer there. Adobe quit making and selling Creative Suite software over 3 years ago.
It's no longer available for purchase by any vendor, retailer or country now. But if you go down that slippery slope, keep in mind that both the license transferor current owner and the recipient new owner must complete a Transfer of License form. Both forms must be returned to Adobe before the license can be transferred. If the seller is unwilling to complete the form, that's a sure sign to stay away from it. See link below for details. It's a scam, run away! He has one more available at a reasonable price.
Adobe does not acknowledge CS6 anymore, however it still works on my PC and edits my photos etc. I'm glad it worked for you but buying software on eBay or any other auction site is still very risky.
You don't know what you're getting until it's too late. And you have no recourse if the software fails, the serial numbers are blocked or worse, it infects your computer with malware or ransom ware. But following Adobe's instructions, I downloaded the form from the Adobe website, filled it out, and forwarded it to the seller via an Ebay message attachment. He told me he would upload it to Adobe along with his form ".
Anyone out there has one for sale let us know. Is your creative suite still working for you? Mind sharing the eBay sellers information with me in a DM? Landon Shipman Funny thing happened actually. The one I brough from eBay just got revoked after about 3 years of use.
I contacted Adobe Support and they said the key was no longer valid for some X reason. Luckily, I had a transcript from 3 years ago where I contacted Adobe Support myself and asked them very specifically if this key was valid and if I could use it and have no problems. The person back then said it was legit and I shouldn't have any problems. When I pasted this to the Adobe Support Staff, it got referred to the higher up admins and they gave me a brand new key for free.
Lucky me because they weren't going to give me another key if it wasn't for that backed up chat message. Kaarel Lume well apparently Adobe is playing the same old dirty game.. I know in person people who are simply using pirated versions of the Adobe Collection CS6 downloaded from some random torrent website. It's so frustrating how Adobe is doing things.
This is not the first time they are doing this kind of poopy move. They took over small companies such as mixamo and removed the feature where you can export your models to use them with source film maker. I have been searching for a physical copy of CS6 for a while now and can't find a reliable way to get it.. After a year two or three you already paid top dollars for it. I have Adobe CS 5. IS it compatible with iMac Mojave What other software do I need?
I'm not keen to use the "Cloud". I dowloaded Catalina on my iMac. With it I held a funeral for Photoshop CS6 this insane. We are being robbed by technology companies through and through.
I know with age comes change. But this highway robbery of being to subscribe to software that I can but one time has been just fine with me. I am am still very comfortable with the CS6 I use and don't need the sophistication of the newest version.
I have read up on the little I know in that Catalina no longer supports 32bit software of which CS6 is. Catalina will only support 64bit applications. If I had known I wouldn't have upgraded to Catalina. I will not do so on my MacPro. I love CS6 the way it is and I have paid for it outright. I plan to keep this old iMac running on el Capitan until it dies.
I wish I had bought the suite when I picked up PS. As I tried different types of photography I was drawn in to the video side of it. Premiere Pro and After Effects is what I lack. It would be nice to have standalone versions of those but if you have ever done any rendering, you will not want to try it with the older chips and limited ram. It's a trade off. I don't think they are overcharging for the software subscription.
There are less capable but comparable open source titles out there for those that don't mind programs that may not work as well. For the capabilities it provides for such a wide range of creative industries I think it's pretty reasonable. As soon as I replace this old machine with a new one. Tons of RAM. What used to take hours would be brought down to a fraction of that. I can do more. I used parallels to do this.
